From slow cooked BBQ’s on our Indian fire bowl set up in the comfort of your own garden, to a four course wedding breakfast for your friends and loved ones at the venue of your choice. Seb’s passion for simply great food, using the best locally sourced ingredients to match any budget, maximising the flavour in each dish with gastronomic knowledge delivered in a personal and professional manner.
With 20 years experience behind the stove, the chef and head honcho Sebastien Planchon has gathered a wealth of knowledge from classical training under two of the countries finest chefs, Michael Caines (Lympstone Manor) and Matthew Mason (The Jack in the Green). Seb gathered a wealth of experience and food knowledge during his time with these chefs, along with his working exploration of South East Asia, Australia & New Zealand. Back on UK soil he continued to broaden his knowledge with a couple of years under self- taught cook and foodie Phil Parkinson at Caffe Espresso, a rare and independent gem based in Exeter. More recently working with the modern wedding and pop-up gastronomes Pickle Shack, as well as stints at River Cottage HQ and with the charcuterie expert Robin Rea who owns the feasting house of great acclaim, The Rusty Pig in Ottery St Mary.
We offer a refreshing, personalised and unrivalled service, on hand from the first point of contact right down to the last bit of cleaning up. We can cater for anything from intimate dinner parties in your own home or a loved ones, to weddings large and small, and even right up to a festival set up for hundreds of meals. We can keep things British and classical, or hit you up with modern, big, spicy flavours from the Middle East or Asia. We asked Seb to cater for our wedding at the last minute due to some difficult family circumstances. We couldn't have asked for a better person to cater for us. Well what can I say about Seb...other than he was amazing!!!! We went for a self catering wedding and sourced all our own ingredients and had a marquee outside.. he had a job on his hands to get all the food cooked and kept warm but he did it and everyone complimented how amazing the food was. Seb was patient, confident, knowledgable and friendly and I cannot recommend him enough. If you want amazing food at your occasion then Seb is the person you need.

From the outset Seb listened to our ideas and tailored his menu to suit our requirements. Our wedding venue was slightly challenging (out in the sticks), we had certain guests with specific dietary requirements, and he had a wide range of dishes to create and serve, but Sebastien took it all in his stride. The food itself was superb, and we had guests comment on it a long time after the event (the Moroccan Eton mess was a triumph!). On my recommendation the company I work for subsequently employed Sebastien to cater for our Christmas party. Again he exceeded expectation with the creativity and innovation of his dishes. Sebastien has an ability to on the one hand be personable and understanding of what type of food is required, and on the other to create really memorable food and do it all with confidence and good humour.
